Grandkids are GREAT

Sunday at Jeff & Carly's house. Logan and I got bored so we desided to play with his play dough. I tended for Carly 2 days earlier and Logan & I had a great time making his animals out of play dough. Boy it's fun being a GRANDPA.

I know the picture doesn't have audio, but you'll just have to trust me on this one (Savannah is giggling for Grandpa (don't pay attention to the hand on the left side of the picture - me tickling her). They said I couldn't get her to laugh. Nee Ner Nee Ner.

Graditude!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is amazing to see the world in the fall. I love living up here when the leaves start to change colors, but this year is unbelievable. The colors have lasted so long. As I come home from work, I count my blessing of how much the Lord has giving me. But this morning as I left, the sun was just coming up, and the sky was a little cloudy, but all was incredible.

Can't find the chairs for the little children.
Find out the the microphone for the pulpit doesn't work--no one knows why.
Don't stress--we can use hand mikes.

Hunting for Quail

I know that many people don't believe in hunting (killing animals), but since I was raised on hunting & fishing and learned to actually enjoy eating the food supply it gave our family I am OK with it.

Recently I took the opportunity to spend some time with my older brother and others (Dad was supposed to join us - backed out at the last minute) on a quail hunting trip to the deserts of Arizona (Kingman area). This happened to be the same area we had been a year earlier (with all the brothers & Dad), only this time the success was much improved. We laughed upon returning last year that we had just enjoyed a wonderful camping trip, but this trip was different. The hunt opended on Fri but I didn't join the hunting party until late Fri night (around midnight). Saturday morning we woke to rain, but luckily it passed after the morning hours and the hunting for the next 2 days was great (96 total for 3 days hunting - 5 hunters) not bad huh.

If you ever want a great dutch oven meal, try quail wrapped in bacon with a bunch of veggies on the side mmmmmmm good.

Sunday's at Grandma and Grandpa's

Tt is so much fun to have the kids come for Sunday dinner. Logan is the entertainment. The only thing that could be better is to have Amy and her family and Ashley home.

Savannah is getting so big and she is learning to giggle and she has found her voice. That is one of my most favorite times in a baby's life, but then their are many.
I really don't know what I would do without my family. I love you all.

No, I haven't fall off the earth.

I didn't realize that it have been so long since I made a post. Time flies when you are having fun as the saying goes.

I have decided that I need to do the picture taking and not leave it to the kids, because I don't have any fun pictures to add when I want them.

Bryan and I took trip back to meet James and Katy in Nauvoo, and went to the temple so Katy could receive her endownments and it was wonderful. It was a fast trip, but we have a great time.

The wedding was wonderful, and a perfect weather day. The dress even turned out great--at least Katy said was was. I hope it was everything she wanted. Check out their blog for pictures.

Bryan and I are back to empty nesting. Ashley is back at BYU Idaho for another semester. We do miss her.

James and Katy are in Orem, as are Jeff and Carly. And since I work with them every day, I still get to see them often.

For those that haven't heard, Jeff is my new boss. He has recently been made the manager in the Orem office. People ask me if I will like having him tell me what to do, I say that isn't any different than it has been for many years. Really, we get alone great.
