Sunday Evening

James finally made it into town but because he missed his flight we didn't get to have family Sunday dinner together. Oh-well, we get to see him after his mtgs (and golf together on tuesday - you know the important stuff).

It was a good week this past week. Ashley's birthday started things off (dinner celebration @ Brick Oven, then Footloose the Musical @ the Scera outdoor theater)(pictures to follow). Can you believe she's 20. She is (you know what they say - Daddy's Little Girl). We love all of you kids and when birthdays come around Mom & I still count our BLESSINGS for the wonderful children we have.

Kevin (from work)got back from his vacation on wednesday so the week was not as bad as the previous (only put in 50 hrs vs 60 the week before). Our store is having another record month. Maybe a good profit sharing year, hope soooo.

Amy's biggest loser contest has been fun. Mom & I enjoy going to our pool and working out most evenings. Mom says it's not fair because I'm losing more weight than she is, but it's good for us to be working on our overall health (thanks Amy for your inspiration).

Can't wait to have family in town for the 24th celebration. stay tune for great pictures on next week's update. Well I've been at this as long as is normal for me, so I'll sign off for now. We love you all and pray daily for the best things in life to be a part of your earthly probation (challenges yes, but the faith to endure to the end).

Families make us laugh!

Bryan and I can't think of anything that makes us laugh more than
being with our children and grandchildren. When they talk about joy in your posterity I understand what they mean.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Logan wanted to help take pictures and Grandpa said cheese!
When we first were married, Bryan loved baseball and I can't say that I had been to a game other than maybe a Young Men, Young Women activity. So I felt like Katy did on her post the other day. Sitting through a long baseball game was not my idea of fun. Bryan found a way to still get to go to the ball park several times a week without me upset with him. He started to umpire and get paid for going to the ball park. We began following him all over the state to watch him umpire. Then the kids started to play and the rest is history.

So when Ashley said she wanted to go to a baseball game this summer, it didn't really suprise me. We also like fireworks and have found that is a great place to spend some holiday fun. So on thursday the 3rd of July Bryan, Ashley, Logan and myself set out to spend the evening at the ballgame.
The owlz lost 7-1 but Logan learned what an owl says and how to sing Take me out to the Ball Game. We start them early.

Logan loved it. He sat through 9 innings of baseball loving everything except the owl.

Sunday Afternoon

There just some things that I really love about living in the mountains. I love the spring and the fall and how cool it stays in the day--90 instead of 100. I love the paths to go walking that make me feel like I am way up in the mountain and I'm really 10 minutes from town. And I love that I can look out side my window at 12:30 Sunday afternoon and see a deer eating my roses.
