To HEAR the T & C words

Most know that last week finally at age 53
I went in for the (camera at the end of a tube - inserted in your bum) colonoscopy procedure.
All went well, until the Dr. came into the recovery rm.
The look on his face told Susan & I a lot, but just hearing the words
"It's not good news, you have a TUMOR & it's probably CANCER".
T & C
I didn't know those 2 words could have such an impact.
Before I knew it, I was fighting to hold back the tears filling up in my eyes.
I didn't dare turn and look at Susan, but tried to stay focused on the Dr's. face.
What does it all mean???
Well, the waiting game has started. Many unknowns will soon be revealed.
Prayers have been & are being offered heavenward, blessings from faithful priesthood holders administered.
and the rest is left in the LORD's hands.
Not a fun post but thought this a good way to get the word out to those we love. Susan will have to do the facebook thing, since I'm not to good at that.
Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
We LOVE you all

After spending multiple times this year hearing the C word, and the D word (deterioration) and remembering the first time I heard the C word, some 26 years ago, I can attest, your life changes in that moment, I don't think anyone who has not personally heard that word can conceive the impact. I remember my friend Susan telling me, that word does not determine length of time, your neighbor could be killed in a car accident tomorrow, and you may out live him. That certainly put it into perspective for me, especially since I have lived these 26 years since hearing melanoma. Still, it also helps focus in on the beauty of being alive now, and enjoying the many gifts each breath affords. Know we love you guys, and we are praying for you and loving you, and wanting to do anything possible to help you in this newest journey of mortality.
