People ask me everyday how Bryan is doing. I reply "he is doing very well, thank you".
Someone asked me what that means, because with cancer, that can mean a lot of things.
So here it is--Bryan is doing well because he has a great attitude. He gets up everyday and does something. Monday thru Friday he goes to work at least part of the day. He still has a drain in his side, along with 2 big incisions and 4 smaller ones, so it is hard to wear regular pants and belts are impossible. So he wears sweat pants. He had a work meeting the other day that he probably should have missed, but he didn't. He went in his sweat pants with a smile on his face. The order was placed and he came home and crashed. His pain is manageable at this point. He tries to stay off the pain meds. He doesn't like the thought that he could ever get addicted. He worries about others and how he can easy their burdens. That keeps his mind off of himself. He is building strength every day and is looking forward to running again. A marathon he says--anyone want to join him?
